    You're confused.

Money is an agreed-upon storage unit for wealth and is the basis for transferring wealth in exchange for goods or services.

It's not money itself that's bad, it's the human emotions of greed and vanity that give money or more correctly, wealth, a bad name.

And, while the pursuit of wealth sucks the irony is that it sucks more to have less wealth.

But, what sucks most and is the real root of the problem is that the most wealthy have accumulated theirs at the expense of others wealth.

Crack that nut and we might actually get somewhere that's nicer than where we are today.

  5. How about this?

The pursuit of wealth gives you something to do until you figure out it's pointless.

An economist once observed that, in the long run, we're all dead.

    Go figure...

  9. Another measure of comparison between what are otherwise equal beings of unlimited wealth. Another means for establishing special status, whether rich or poor or along a continuum. It is specialness, and its need for differences and comparison devices, that is the "root of all evil", so to speak. The only way for equal beings of unlimited wealth to compare themselves is to begin taking away from one another...subtracting...sacrificing...whatever it takes to establish a unique position. A world of scarcity arises to facilitate this scenario, and the conflict begins. The human body itself is a comparison device. So money is not a better or worse device than any other. It's the way of the world.
