Yes, this is correct, it's important to realise the benefits of trading for yourself such as being able to have more leisure time in which to live life. I'm doing ok, slight drawdown at present, trying for the next step of making 10x of what i have now within 5-10 years.
One thing I learned is that there are thresholds to cross that limit your potential. Quite often they exist only in your own mind.
Woke up 5 am in the morning to work the currency options pits in Chicago. Got off work at 230pm. Slept in the University lobby until 6pm, then went to class until 930pm. Got Home at 11pm, slept at 1am. 4 hours of nightly sleep for 3 years. Could drink like a fish, too. 20 or so years ago.
I always needed 7 hours sleep minimum. Though a fellow student always hit the golf course before showing up at class, in the middle of winter he never wore a coat, just a shirt like in high summer.
