My purpose for starting this thread is to see what others thought edge actually was,

Well in that case, the correct answer was that you are mistaking win conditions with 'edge.'

Lol ....don’t think losing conditions is an edge. An edge means to have a slight advantage over someone else.

In that def is implied ANYTHING that renders giving that advantage. So.....being able to recognize winning context with higher probability as opposed to not being able to can indeed be called an “edge”. An edge over others who cannot, or have not, been trained to recognize such conditions. The former has an edge over the latter.

Like your post -- but was the "ROFLMAO" necessary? (Civility is lost in ET?)

Actually I tried backtesting equities with the approach and none worked. I think to make it work the two underlying have to be uncorrelated.

No it wasn't necessary. Your right. I will downgrade it to just Lol. And if necessary will downgrade even further..maybe eliminate it all together. Unfortunately, I can get too dramatic sometimes. Things do strike my funny bone especially if my sugar level is off as I am a diabetic.

For the time being it is downgrade to Lol. It is a bit funny that Wheezooo is taking credit for starting thread when ffs1001 appears to be the one starting the thread.

Volpri--wheezooo just didn't use the quote function. So my guess is that Wheezooo has the OP blocked. He quoted ffs and then replied in the second sentence.

    Critical thinking, Bro.

Average down means you do ROFL before doing LOL.
