When born again Christians start blowing themselves up for a ticket into Allah's whorehouse in the sky, let me know.
Huge point for you, msfe. US intelligence sources believe that the helicopters purchased by Iraq were among those used against the Kurds. I already conceded the possibility in my original statement. I also added that there were other places where Iraq could also have gotten helicopters, including the other countries which were, at the time as throughout the period from 1973 to the present, by far Iraq's leading sponsors. The article you provided also noted that the helicopters were not military, but converted to military uses. I expect you to continue to ignore the information described in the chart that accompanied my post, and to persist in blaming the US for the existence of Saddam's war machine - not that the charge, even if true, would make any essential difference in the larger argument.
Those suicide bombers are (were) simpletons, brainwashed to believe that on arrival in Paradise 72 virgins would be awaiting them. Imagine their dismay if, on arrival in Paradise, the 72 virgins turn out to be old spinsters rather than the luscious 18 year old girls they were expecting. Shows you, Alfonso, to ALWAYS read the fine print. freealways
Imagine the dismay of the Iraqi people, on arrival in Bush´s liberated democratic Paradise, the 72 virgins turn out to be bloodthirsty old imperialist American hegemony spinsters rather than the luscious 18 year old girls they were expecting.
Thanks. As long as my conscience is in line with the majority of the people in the US I still have hope that things will end in good. Just wait until the next presidential election and in the meantime stop to rumor that there is only one true patriotic attitude. There is a lot more than just "yes or no", "black or white", "true or false", "with us or against us". True democratic freedom needs a lot more than that, because the world we live in is not binary.
1. I spoke about my statements in general, not just the war against Iraq. 2. Most of them who support the war now, do so, because it has already started. In most cases they just support the troops as I do too. 3. To support this war does not mean to think it's a necessary war. 4. To support this war does not mean to agree with Mr.Bush, Rumsfeld, etc. in general. 5. I support this war too in the sense that I hope that the US will win and that not too many US soldiers die. However I still think that the government is lying about the reasons for this war. 7. If this war will take long then probably enough people in the US will wake up and you will see that when the next presidential election comes. 8. If the Iraq war will end successfully soon these people in the government probably will create a new conflict soon just to remain in power. This new conflict will be based on terrorist attacks in the US or anything else that will create enough fear among US citizens. They are unscrupulous. Enough for today. Bye!
A slight diversion from the subject. I heard today that a bus with human shields, whilst in the process of leaving Iraq where hit by a missile. Those misguided idits went deliberately into what they knew was going to be a warzone. Subsequently they decided to leave again because they became dissatisfied because the Iraqi military wanted them to shield military installations rather than the hospitals they had dreamed about protecting from the evil US bombs. Many of these idits went to Iraq to play out their selfish, ill thought out, foolish dreams of heroism and my question is should our money really be spent on nursing them back to health from their wounds or should they have been left lying on the road to fend for themselves and perhaps even die (God forbid ) ? Or, as a third solution, should they have been left lying on the road and as a goodwill gesture had the good fortune of having their respective government informed of their plight so they could foot the bill ? My next question, given that we are in the middle of a war, can the English and American human shields be considered as having committed an act of treason by undermining our cause . If you don't think that their action is contemptable consider the fact that their little act may well have given Saddam Hussein some further added encouragement to keep going which in turn could be seen in the light that this endangered the lives of the British and American soldiers. In fact how many of the lives lost could be attributed to the actions of those dingdongs ? freealways
