Most businesses fail within a few years, does it mean no-one should even try to open a business?
ExperiencedJoe wants to take comfort in knowing that one can't make money being a daytrader since the thought of others making it while he can't is very unsettling to him.

  2. Except you are neither making it or nor doing any trading. All you have done so far is to spam some PS broker records that you are 'too busy' to have time to spam.

Broker statements are proof for pretty much everyone in the industry and most people on ET, except you. You're just fishing for methods, good luck with your expedition.

Likely down to 0.1% make BIG money, the rest anywhere from BE to maybe a few K's.

1000 to 1 still better odds than winning the lottery, although more time consuming, and I refuse to play the lottery ( to lazy hate filling in forms LOL )

  6. What is there to fish ? You have no method. Not only do you have no method, you have no trade either.

So how come you have time to post. Didn't you say you are too busy while 'trading' ?

What are you 'trading' and how many are you 'trading' ? I'll see if the broker records that you are yet to spam matches up with the time of your posts.

  7. You haven't posted for a whole day. I can only imagine you must be very busy trading. Your method, if you have one that is, seems to me to be too weak. Perhaps you'd like to fish for my method ? My method allows me to trade while doing other stuff, and while sleeping also. I trade far more than you, assuming you do any at all, and I can still post on forums all day long. Here's my stats for this week. Was a very slow start because it was a rare no news day for two whole days. But things are picking up speed now. I need a bit more gungho's on the long side. NZD/USD currently looks juicy, only if it would give me a pull back ...

  8. sometimes i get the urge to speak up to u yoyo's.

just think from a common sense perspective; if you have an edge that produces earnings...why would you share it with anyone? ever hear of corporate espionage? no company or individual of any size shares their secrets (obviously some of these edges take a lifetime to setup)

those that post journals are either working on improving themselves through sifting comments (which is fine) to fine tune things...or are scammers trying to line up suckers..imo

so with that said; if one has edge but still wants to participate on these (lately) dreadful boards; a P/L post is the most u will get. its your job to build your own edge..then maybe someday you can post a consistent blotter.

  9. But what kind of a person believes posting up a few disjointed trades would give away the edge: a beginner or someone with an edge ? For me's it very easy to tell who is what. What I seek on forums is consistency of story from those who wants to play. Otherwise I will dance on their squirms, after all, I have the time for it. Trading really is quite dull and comprises large patches of boredom. I wouldn't mind the entertainment.

What does a few disjointed trades say about profitability? Paul Tudor Jones claims to lose money on 90% of the trades he enters but he makes up for it on the other 10%. So if he were on this board and posted 5 trades that all lost money would you assume he was an unprofitable trader?

If he posted BVI's returns over the last 30 years, would you still assume he was an unprofitable trader because you didn't see a sample of disjointed trades?
