Hello. Everybody, I am a newcomer here. Just clicking on a few pages, you all appears to be sophisticated in area of trading. There is 1 question I would like to ask. Viewing some recruitment advertisements on the position as trader, some requires good knowledge in IRS or Exotic Book? What exactly are these things? Could anybody kindly tell me the answer?
Exotic book: i think you're referring to a book of exotics, that is positions in complex derivatives (no plain options, futures or swaps)...if you don't know what the Internal Revenue Service is I hope you don't live in the U.S. ...
Pekelo, Those are websites in which you may search the internet for various topics. I hope this helps! p.s. jeesh, where have you been the last decade.
if you are looking at recruiter ads for jobs then IRS means interest rate swaps and exotic book is exotic derivatives likely interest rate/fixed income derivatives as it is mentioned in same context as IRS. if you don't already trade these things at a sell-side firm or hedge fund then you aren't qualified to apply.
