  2. 40 cents off the low and it looks like the company may be sold before earnings! The question is at what price... fair value $11 ish! ~ SI

  4. How did you know the company may be sold? Just curious.. Seems the the stock is holding up well. I would have panicked if it established a new low lower than aug 16 sell off.

  5. Looks like Earnings are Sept 12th. Today I think.
    Perhaps they just had to fold in some options or
    want to announce a big box store addition.....

I would be willing to bet that someone said "let's make it the second Tuesday in September - not the week of Labor Day, because some people will be on vacation, and then not Monday, because people will be busy with other things" and then when they did that, later said "Uh, excuse me, but is 9/11 a good day for earning announcment ? Maybe not... "

  7. BRLC Syntax-Brillian misses by $0.01, beats on revs; guides Q1 revs below consensus; guides FY08 revs below consensus; announced departure of CFO (6.13 -0.16)

    Reports Q4 (Jun) GAAP earnings of $0.11 per share, $0.01 worse than the GAAP Reuters Estimates consensus of $0.12; revenues rose 243.3% year/year to $205.3 mln vs the $198.5 mln consensus. Co issues downside guidance for Q1, sees Q1 revs of $170-180 mln vs. $262.15 mln consensus. Co issues downside guidance for FY08, sees FY08 revs of $1.0-1.1 bln vs. $1.28 bln consensus. Co's current business outlook is reflective of a severe tightening of credit in Asia that has significantly impacted the bank and other credit facilities of their supply chain partner; co sees the combined credit availability of their supply chain partners has been reduced by over $200 mln. Co also announced Wayne Pratt, its chief financial officer, will resign effective September 30, 2007 to take a position working with a longstanding colleague at a start-up company located in Tempe, Ariz.

    Getting the feeling this is an overreaction, I'm not a buyer since the volatility is so huge but this kind of drop has after hours insanity written all over it
