    "The End of Men"

"Earlier this year, women became the majority of the workforce for the first time in U.S. history. Most managers are now women too. And for every two men who get a college degree this year, three women will do the same. For years, women’s progress has been cast as a struggle for equality. But what if equality isn’t the end point? What if modern, postindustrial society is simply better suited to women? A report on the unprecedented role reversal now under way— and its vast cultural consequences..."

I think it's logical, ...men still run things and they like to hire cute girls :)

Hehe Nitro! ...been there, done that and proud to be a graduate of the "bra burning" generation, thank God that's turning around!

I will say though, women are impressive dependable and have one hell of a sense of intuition when it comes to character and a special way with managing money...whether it's theirs or not, so as a resource or competitive adversary they get my ear and full attention.

In fact I think this guy "Guy Kawasaki" says it all in his presentation; "Art of the Start and how to change the world" when he says; "if you think you have a smart idea for business, ask a woman..." she'll tell you if you're stupid or may be on to something that makes good sense :)

  5. this longerm movement of civil rights grants woman freedom, but also strips men's reponsibility when it comes to family.
i dont know why women aren't recognizing this.

  7. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the H1b visa program. Close to 100% of H1Bs are male right? Is that program a way to hire men and not have to hire American women?

  8. We are essentially apes. If you want to know about human behaviour then study chimps in social groups. What you will notice is sex (mating privilages) and violence (ways to attain mating privilages) are the driving forces. The males that are the smartest and most aggressive usually get to the top. Intelligence and aggression go hand in hand. Men have developed their intelligence through aggressive reasoning. Women are essentially maternal and passive in these groups. Aggressive reasoning has led to the great advances in science, philosophy and art.

Physical skills, aggressive reasoning, courage and group loyalty are at the male's core. Look around and you will see fat, passive and unhappy males everywhere in modern society because they can no longer express what is essential about themselves and society no longer respects these honest and virile male traits. It is gradually eroding self respect, self worth and the masculine qualities that built it. Why?

  9. ...because in addition to the technolological changes that have given women greater power and autonomy the cultural shift is one towards passivity and all it's forms (concilliation, 'nice' ethics, inclusion and general docility that seeks to make everyone feel 'valued'). In reality men only feel alive when they are being aggressive, either intellectually, artistically or physically. But this is destabalising for the nuclear family unit or wider society. True creativity, not just imagination, but the genius of Wagner, Newton or Nietzsche only comes through conflict of ideologies and 'stirring' things up to find a new paradigm, new and fresh angles (women with 'masculine' attributes are superior to their more feminine counterparts in this respect).

Male and female fulfilment are poles apart. Boys want to be aggressive at school through argument or fighting, to find their abilities and boundaries which they are always testing. Girls seek harmony and unity within the group and they want everyone to be 'nice' towards each other (while at the same time sizing up the prospective alpha, of course). Men now fear their own aggression- this is the shift that is destroying those masculine values- and boys now 'neuter' themselves to become more socially acceptable. In doing so they lose the spirit that has driven them for thousands of years. Unfortunately this has not been a gradual evolution but a sudden one and men cannot cope.

  10. Let me rephrase this. I meant to say H1Bs in technical fields. It would seem the vast majority of tech H1Bs are male. So, is the tech part of this program a way to avoid hiring American female tech workers?
