twitter could add advertising of icons instead of whole commercials. So 144 characters and a big yellow M at the end of it all. The taco bell symbol, apple symbol etc. At least it would be some advertising.
Well, everything... looks meaningless, or miniscule,...in the 'grand scheme of things'. You're right though, Perspective is everything. I like to think of the market, or charts,....as viewing picturesque Mountains -- or land continents merging with the sea floor. But traders shouldn't get all excited about these kind of rare gyrations. -- and instead, have an everyday, simple, boring strategy they can execute. Compounding is the 8'th Wonder of the World,
Maybe it was the Thursday Night Football broadcast, I actually watched it on Twitter, because I am on location. But seriously, there is no good way to monetize this many websites. People got used to free/adless, they are not going to give it up, and others still will provide services for free, so users will just move. Prime example is Digg/Reddit, when Digg tried to monetize, everyone moved to Reddit. So Digg now might make a little money with little user numbers and Reddit is still in the red. Honestly I think there are just way too many outlets for advertisements, but not enough money/product to advertise. After all if you are the big yellow M and already reaching people via TV and billboards and radio, do you really need the internet too? And if so, do you need every websites??? I am not sure what the solution is, but so for nobody has figured it out...
That's the way to go @Baron! Perspective... I'm glad I didn't short/buy puts yet... I wonder though, it's still about valuation... so Twitter is on sale, why would it go up... because it's on sale? Mostly goods come down when it's on sale. There will not be that many buyers, maybe Apple or Google... but will they pay top dollar? No I don't think so. So.. what's the upside? And what's the downside... Earnings in a months time.... if those are not good, it will be a massacre...
Such an increase is expected to be so in the future. But while it's necessary to be careful and attentive here.
OK, the rumor is Disney is considering buying it. So the mystery is solved: http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheats...uying-twitter.html?via=desktop&source=copyurl
I'm curious to see Twitter in the hands of another company. What is this going to be? How much could it change?
$TWTR new yearly high is imminent. Lovely buyers may be in final stages of offers. Big deals take time, as it's not like buying potatoes
