When using something like PE ratio, it does appear that way. TA is like understanding the 'when' FA is like understanding the 'why' Both applied by the majority focuses on an 'effect' to determine a 'cause' The above is understood by the minority to anticipate the majority's reaction to an 'effect' Prediction and forecasting are not what the minority do. They are already taking profits from whatever is happening 'now'
How to obtain knowledge of and access to the data sources that are used by Investment funds ? https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...ces-that-are-used-by-investment-funds.340165/
A quote by Mark Cuban "Stocks don’t go up because companies do well or do poorly. Stocks go up and down depending on supply and demand. If a stock is marketed well enough to create more demand from buyers than there are sellers, the stock will go up. What about fundamentals? Fundamentals is a word invented by sellers to find buyers. Price/earnings ratios, price/sales, the present value of future cash flows, pick one. Fundamentals are merely metrics created to help stockbrokers sell stocks, and to give the buyers reassurance when buying stocks. Even the way profits are calculated is manipulated to give confidence to buyers."
It is often used with technical analysis and a lot of traders make use of it for analysing their trade.
Fundamental analysis and technical analysis both have their roles to play in your trades. Never try to prioritize one over the other.
