A pullback is a temporary price movement in the opposite direction of the main trend, after which the market continues to move in the same direction. A pullback allows traders to enter the market at more advantageous points after it ends. A range is a market condition when it is not defined and the price is between horizontal support and resistance levels and does not go beyond them. Here, trading is often conducted in the middle of this range on a rebound from these levels or on a breakout of the level, since this breakout can signal the beginning of a new trend.

    Range
    Up and down and
    Up and down and
    Up and down and
    Up and down and...

    Pullback aka retracement
    Price goes one direction
Then go back just a few steps
Then continue in the same direction

  4. A pullback bounces on the moving average but a trading range hops over it many times
