What is a trader's job?

  1. It's no accident Traitor & Trader sound so familiar.
The Trader must as him or herself who he or she works for before answering this question. When you work for a big bank or a investment house who do you work for?
The client, the retiree in Seattle or the big boss?

Your job as traitor, sorry trader is to spin. Spin as many portfolios as you can. You will receive more prefereds and other crap that needs to be offloaded, you will sell high risk bonds although you know nothing about what you do. You will end up with a speeding ticket and coke in your wallet and you will hire a heavyweight lawyer and because you are white it will all be ok. You will not get any of the good IPO's.

You will use caution as a reason to dump everything near the lows and then you will make like the last bus is leaving with breathless tech investment ideas. You will gorge yourself on assets in the ground and at night you will look at your wife, your kids, your house and wonder just how this all came about based off such a house of cards.

    Hope this helps! ~ stoney
