What is a man? A response to Gillette

  1. Good call, wrist watches were invented by whitey back in the day, who needs one of those nowadays when you can check the time on your smart phone? You should thank that other whitey Al Gore for inventing the internet otherwise you and me talking right now would not be possible. Honorable mention goes to Tim Berners-Lee.

If Trump wins again in 2020 you should keep it real and go live on North Sentinel Island, no whitey, no wrist watches, no internet, no problems.

Word on the street is that the inhabitants of North Sentinel Island might even discover fire within the 100 years! You don't want to miss out on that!

  2. this is exactly a type of a guy that Gillette was referring to in its ad. he is a conservative radio talk show host in Texas (what a surprise.) I guess this is a type of a man, all you conservative assholes thrive to be.

the sad part is that he actually bought the legos and enabled/encouraged his son to the point that his son is good enough to compete in a robotics tournament. but unfortunately, this man is so insecure and conflicted that has to do such a thing as mocking his son.

Nothing inconsistent in this ad and the gillete ad.

But i take one exception. They cite that 70percent of all homicide victims are men, and the narrator calls men “protectors” as if they are killed defending their families. How do you reconcile that with that statement with the fact that cons are quick to say that virtually all the gun related murders are black on black gang related violence (as an argument against gun control).

People can be good and people can get better.

I went to few lego tournaments with my kids and I saw engineer type parents and the same parents I saw at baseball and soccer practices. Everybody was proud.

That post was obviously said in jest. The guy is radio host or something like that.

For the lego tournaments I went to or i helped as a volunteer... the kids had all been selected by their instructors to represent their local club.
To be selected you had to show problem solving skills or programming talent. It was sort of an IQ test to be selected.

No parent is unhappy to be told their kids a smart or shows talent.
