Really? Now you have me curious. Have you found FundSeeders metrics off? Remember, that's the ONLY reason we're using it. Is just a double check for redunancy's sake ...
Their import capability sucks. It's like you took a trader and an offshore developer, put them together and asked them to come up with a service. After I saw how painful it was to import my data, I figured the rest of the service couldn't be any better, so ran. Tradervue was fantastic (and made me feel good about myself too). @globalarbtrader did a blog post or forum post on getting on Fundseeder so he probably has better information on it than me, since I ran from day 1.
As the paper points out annualized Sharpes are almost universally wrong. Annual sharpes are taken over a period of years, monthly sharpes on months, etc. Your broker/etc should be able to provide you the method used.
Which from what I've seen of many companies? Especially in Finance? Is probably exactly what happened. LOL Our's is pretty simple. We just use end of day net liq / BPS improvement / loss ... drop it to their dropbox (they don't have our Clearing Firm in their list), and it computes everything for us. But that's interesting stuff. You have me looking in Tradervue's direction. Thanks
Wow very much disagree with this. I use Interactive Brokers, so hooking my account up took all of 5 minutes and now everything is automatically updated, metrics are calculated in near real-time, it's really a great service. Plus it is freakin free, how are you going to complain about that? Now if they just give me a call and offer to give me 1BB to manage, I would really love their service! In all seriousness though, Fundseeder has been great to me. If you have Interactive Brokers, or another broker they support, I highly recommend this service, even if you arent interested in running outside money. My acount in now a year old and I am climbing the leaderboards! Another nice thing is seeing the competition out there. On another note, does anybody know if these guys have actually funded anybody yet?
