Ya I know I should have thrown in a past performance disclaimer.
    It's a suggestion. No guarantees.
The original post ask for very likely, not guaranteed.

There are very few very likelys, and of course no guarantees. How about DX? Generally, when DX rises, stocks drops and vice-versa? But that is very diluted throughput.

We're throwing ideas at you, because it is a difficult question to answer, because there is no sure answer./

  3. Fair point - assuming you believe PEP (note that we've now pared it down from the entire list of "dividend kings" to just one stock) will continue performing the way it has. That being the risk component of investing, of course. :)

You could aways diversify. It's not something I do. I control my risk by moving in and out of the market.

TLT, GLD, UUP, USO. If you can trade futures, then it's ZB, GC, DX and CL.
EZ PZ, go ahead and make money already.
    You'll thank me for that.

  7. Is that the same TLT that was trading at 170+ just a couple of years back and is at 113 now? And GLD that was >190 and is barely holding 160? That is, both of them more or less tracking with the market? Just checking.

Tell you what: you read and learn, then risk your money to try random experiments in "uh, no, we didn't REALLY lose money when we lost money, and here's an explanation about why not" excuses from "Broken Down Finance". Good luck with that, and let us know how it goes... assuming your electricity hasn't been turned off for lack of payment.
