what, 241m and that is enough to guarantee he is never wrong? how much is warren buffett worth? and he has been market-performing for 20 years already due to loss of edge.

    Are you for real???

Who said he is never wrong????

You are the one unequivocally stating that his approach is garbage, despite the fact that he is worth over 240 mil..

Buffet is a value investor with close to 550 billion under management..growth has outperformed value by 64% the last 10 years..

Reread what Burry said instead instead or repeating your beliefs..

TA is not all garbage, just much if it.
Conventional TA rules were more effective back in the good ol' days, before the masses all bought computers and charting packages, as we know, the more who use a method, the less effective it becomes.
But the large smart money can still screw around retail to their hearts content using size to push price around (in stocks, my experience).
TA rules break frequently these days on a day by day basis, but in the very big picture, when for example trends and support break on the major indexes, well, usually that is reliable enough.

TA shares something very similar to AI. TA is all about pattern recognition.

  9. Reading the messages here suggest one of the primary TA output aspect is pattern.

In that, one of the outputs is to know what the big money is doing so the small ones could trade accordingly. With the advent of AI, the pattern recognition will be delegated to the software. Does this mean that the with so many millions using pattern recognition software, the outputs of TA still apply - supposing that TA is used to know what big money is doing ? Or would it be that TA output is not useful due to millions using it ?

I saw some messages suggest that with advent of computing, the TA is reduced in relevance.

What do you guys think ?
