    jem

in the same silly fashion; using your tautology as an example...

If the "god particle" does need a creator, then there's simply no need for an atheist.
If a creator doesn't need a creator, it's just another description for no need of an atheist without even establishing the need for an atheist in the first place.

  3. i would say most atheists have a bible to study. how do you think we became atheists? after all its a documented fact that most atheists were once believers.

  4. If you say there is no God, why spend so much time devoted to reading his book?

  5. i dont read it much anymore. know most of relevent stories by memory. at some point its more a function of understanding how the delusion works.

  6. Why , what's the point?

Perhaps your time would be spent more wisely by moving on to find what you DO BELIEVE IN.

  7. A Sufi parable....perhaps the real answer to this debate.

    When the Waters Were Changed
Once upon a time Khidr, the teacher of Moses, called upon mankind with a warning. At a certain date, he said, all the water in the world which had not been specially hoarded, would disappear. It would then be renewed, with different water, which would drive men mad.

Only one man listened to the meaning of this advice. He collected water and went to a secure place where he stored it, and waited for the water to change its character.

On the appointed date the streams stopped running, the wells went dry, and the man who had listened, seeing this happening, went to his retreat and drank his preserved water.

When he saw, from his security, the waterfalls again beginning to flow, this man descended among the other sons of men. He found that they were thinking and talking in an entirely different way from before; yet they had no memory of what had happened, nor of having been warned. When he tried to talk to them, he realized that they thought that he was mad, and they showed hostility or compassion, not understanding.

At first, he drank none of the new water, but went back to his concealment, to draw on his supplies, every day. Finally, however, he took the decision to drink the new water because he could not bear the loneliness of living, behaving and thinking in a different way from everyone else. He drank the new water, and became like the rest. Then he forgot all about his own store of special water, and his fellows began to look upon him as a madman who had miraculously been restored to sanity.

  9. Only after we have evolved our soul to a higher level will we be allowed to enter into the higher dimensions. I felt a connection to "my higher self" and knew that all the things I considered myself; my personality, my body, and all my life experiences, where but a fragment of my true self. I realized my true higher self was a reflection of God. I realized God was within me and within all. I gained a fresh perspective on the Bible verse "God made man in his image." I realized that we are all interconnected. We are all the same, it is only ego that separates us. We are all evolving with God back to source, which is love and light. Every cell in our bodies is evolving as is the entire universe. I felt a very strong connection to my mother, as though our souls were connected somehow and that we may have shared a connection in past lives. I was a more than a little overwhelmed by the entire experience and wasn’t in complete control. However, I think that the meditation, singing prayers of love, and thinking about certain aspects of my life helped me gain the most from the experience and helped me integrate the experience in what otherwise could have been a completely disorienting and sensory overloaded experience.

  10. We Have A Responsibility…as unbelievers, we have a responsibility to the future of our species to do whatever we can to disseminate the science and eliminate the myth.
