I see all sides of the issue, I just weigh the life of a grandparent above little Tommy missing out on some golf or whatever with his friends. That's unfortunate, to have an interrupted year, not "terrible", what's terrible is them being so selfish they don't see their bit of sacrafice is a great act of kindness. They will be better people for it.
its not one grandma vs one tommy Its millions of kids around the world. Smart countries like Sweden kept the younger kid's schools open. Smart people realize there is a big increase in Child abuse Depression Social skills and very important developmental steps being missed People know that the lockdowns have caused all sorts of mental health and physical health damage Financial damage is off the charts. Morons only see one grandma vs one tommy. You have to have an IQ of 120 to think in systems... (approxmately) you seem to function at about a 105 on Covid. Just like some others. The fears blocks your brain power.
You make all of these claims that child abuse, depression, etc. have all increased. Never do you provide proper data supporting your claims. In fact child abuse reports in the U.S. have dropped over 50%.... leaving people concerned that COVID is causing a lack of reports (e.g. kids are not in school so the abuse is not discovered). Yet the low rate of child abuse reports have persisted into the fall. Let's take a look at an earlier NYT article Child Abuse Cases Drop 51 Percent https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/09/nyregion/coronavirus-nyc-child-abuse.html
Does it really matter? Trump had it and it appeared to be no big deal. Countless media people had it, I dont recall any of them dying, Half the NBA had it, none of them seem to be in bad shape. A bunch of baseball players had it, they all are fine now. How is Tom Hanks doing?
This , what are you talking about? https://www.europeanbusinessreview.com/bracing-for-a-wave-of-automation-post-covid/ "COVID-19 made massive changes to the way we conduct and manage our workplaces. These changes have more people than ever working from home, while those that remain in a traditional workspace must accommodate safety and social distancing mandates. As the changes caused by COVID-19 reshape the way we work, one solution becomes increasingly more viable and necessary: automation. The use of machines and computer systems to increase efficiency in business practices and keep employees safe could bolster the economy post-COVID. As a result, businesses should brace for a wave of automation in the near future." More at link
