  2. Illegal immigrants value to the US economy is trillions. They are not only consumers, but they are also tax payers that pump billions into Social Security.

"llegal immigrants' value to economy? $1.8 trillion
    http://blogs.chron.com/immigration/archives/2008/05/post_128.html

"If the 8.1 million undocumented immigrants who cut lawns, bus tables and perform other jobs disappeared overnight, the nation's economy would lose nearly $1.8 trillion in annual spending.

Texas, the second-hardest-hit state after California, would lose 1.2 million undocumented workers and $220.7 billion in expenditures.

The story also pointed out that the Perryman Group, an economic research firm in Waco, estimates that the annual contribution to U.S. gross domestic product by illegal immigrants is $652 billion.

Illegals don't make much money, therefore they don't spend much money... and therefore they drain social services... and therefore they take jobs away from people that don't want to suck off welfare and need a decent wage to accomplish that...

  5. IF 20 million illegals left the USA, tequila sales would drop drastically. All of the fast food taco restaurants would have a hard time selling their tacos. And there would be no one working at McDonalds or Wendys or whatever.

And I would be okay with it.

  6. Income and value wouldn't be lost, it would help eliminate unemployment.

  7. 19 to 4 so far . . . .

Pretty much the same percentages as the national polls. Too bad the politicians can't read.

If they don't make much money, then their jobs don't pay much. How will those jobs suddenly become "decent wage" jobs when they leave?

  9. Because the employers will be forced to employ citizens at minimum wage, or the employees can bring their employers to the attention of the government. Illegals can't or won't do this.

  10. It seems that all or most other countries FIERCELY defend what they believe to be "right" for their country... Hell, in some countries, you get a bullet in the head (or at least long prison time) for stepping foot onto their land.. even if accidental.

In America, our policy appears to be "defend that which will re-elect incumbents.. regardless of the harm or cost to citizens"... Sad.
