I read the writing of Karl Marx, Leninism and the Russian revolution as part of the political science school curriculum in the Eighties. There were no Russian bots then! So do not be paranoid. The communism theory is a wonderful thing on paper but in reality, it is very hard to apply, because it goes against the natural grain of the human greed. Nevertheless, Karl Marx said that capitalism would fall from within for two reasons: the first reason is that the gap between the rich and the poor will keep growing to the point where the poor cannot take it anymore and eventually will revolt. (At this time, this reason is somewhat neutralized by the spread of social services in the capitalist world, but it is still in play. They are trying to eliminate the 2nd amendment for this reason folks!! The second reason he said is that, the capitalist countries will fight among themselves on the world market share and this will eventually cause them to go into wars among themselves and destroy capitalism. (You can see this unfolding today in front of your own eyes! It is called trade wars) Wake up and smell the coffee!
The extremist political isms have all been shown to be false systems and put into the dustbin of history. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Ahem. That would be lylec. *waves* And the thread has devolved into a political one. Maybe it should be moved there?
Welfare benefits, social security benefits, Medicare benefits, unemployment benefits, food banks, and the housing vouchers programs are all considered part of economic socialism. I think you are confusing nationalism with economic socialism. they are two different things.
Just out of curiosity... Say I am 80, have no income other than a modest pension and pay no tax, I wouldn't have the right to vote?
