  4. Not around here. The number of students has dropped by 33% from when I graduated, yet they are building new schools left and right. The population has dropped a little.

    I think children should be home-schooled no matter how stupid the parents are! The mom stays home and gets paid $10k per kid times 3 kids = $30k per year.

    Time for indemnification waivers and/or liability insurance per child so kids can go back to being kids.

    I dont know about you guys but, I teach my sons to be a good sportsman and teamate, pass the ball, pay attention and to play to be their best.

    they naturally want to win and so do all their friends.

    its the adults who cant handle the winning and losing.

    I would agree IF teachers pay was merit based. Buy it's not. It's not like there is a free market in education. If you had vouchers, although not perfect, I think you would see an improvement. Let people vote by taking their kids out of underperforming schools. How else are you going to reform education if there is no price to pay for failure on the teachers part?
