Brother Lukie, why is it that you say you do not oppose abortion if you believe that abortion is murder?

My ET brethren, in the interest of sanity, please refrain from using the terms "Obama" and "fiscal discipline" in the same sentence.

    Thanks.

I don't know what the kryptonite is (apart from the superman reference) but RCG can be relied on to engage (at least with me). He's not a coward like Ricter or AK that runs from the thread when facts are presented.

  8. +1 I would only disagree that, imo, we were not founded on a religion but by the religious. the Constitution was much more influenced by philosophy than organized religion.

Couple more quotes to reinforce the reality that America is not, never was, and was never intended to be a theocracy:

"What influence, in fact, have ecclesiastical establishments had on Civil Society? In some instances they have been seen to erect a spiritual tyranny on the ruins of the civil authority; in many instances they have been seen upholding the thrones of political tyranny; in no instance have they been seen the guardians of the liberties of the people. Rulers who wished to subvert the public liberty may have found an established Clergy convenient auxiliaries. A just Government, instituted to secure and perpetuate it, needs them not."

"Every new & successful example therefore of a perfect separation between ecclesiastical and civil matters, is of importance... Religion & Govt. will both exist in greater purity, the less they are mixed together..."

    - James Madison "Father of the Constitution"

Facts are to liberals like Kryptonite is to Superman

I disagree. RCG runs from the facts just like the other liberals. It happens quite regularly if you watch him. (Unless he is in one of his oblivious states) Just as it seems he has now run away at your mere mention of facts.

I'm sure he just had to run out to pick up some clean nylons for his night shift tonight. :D

It's impossible to have total separation of church and state.
