And yourself appear to need to be "right" and are for the most part, IMO not a well meaning good guy (sorry, maybe someday), responding to a message I made to someone else.

A better poll would have been odds of such actually taking place:-

    100%
    90%
    75%
    50%
    25%
    10%
    1%

    last would be my vote.

But that would be without me, or anyone else AFAIK, knowing what the wording of a potential silly proposition would be. Such as what percentage of voters voting in the affirmative - simple majority, two thirds, three quarters? Would each province then become a state and each have 2 Senators and x number of Congress members.

Chit Magas get panties in a bunch over possible P.R. statehood or D.C. getting much fairer representation than current setup. LOL absorbing a whole other country would fricken explode their world. Well at least it would bring their fentanyl source in house.

Americans fail to recognize that Canadians don't envy them at all. I can't think of one metric that doesn't put Canada ahead of the US from life expectation, health and wellness, education, safety, employment, infrastructure...

And that outlook has gotten a lot stronger the last few months. The only thing the US does better is big corps, and tariffs may disrupt that. We badly need to strengthen our trading with countries other than the US, and strategically shift some commodity sales in particular. The US is no longer a reliable ally.

What many Americans don't seem to realize is the enemy isn't Canada, it's the wealth/social disparities in the US and the lack of a reliable safety net and social programs. Trump is distracting the people with all this stuff yet there he is trying to cut taxes for the wealthy. They aren't going to get better medical care or jobs because they slapped tariffs on Canadian steel. Quite the opposite really if you work in the automotive sector.
