One peek at the "Trader P&L" threads from the 00's to today is all the proof you need to see how HFT has annihilated the industry.
are you really blaming HFT for people's inability to adapt? you need to be innovative to survive as a trader
Deleted my original response. Not going to get in a flame war with a guy who started trading 2 years ago Good luck
Some died, moved on to other careers, moved on to other areas of the financial markets, some quit trading, some couldn't adapt after a key change @ exchange, some moved to other social media after getting tired of ET, some already retired and decided trading too risky, some changed user names...others joined a hippie commune.
Says the biggest joke(r) on ET... Go quickly to Magna and ask him to block me in this thread too. Or I will start again about your fabulous 7 losses in a row and can harm your scam business.
My understanding was that most of the scalpers who traded spreads are no longer in the game due to HFTs. I know few traders who still scalp for maybe 5 ticks and/or 2-3 ticks at a time and are rather successful.
