I love uplifting stories...just not the ones involving someone contacting a teacher to say you're wrong. Nothing uplifting about that. Sure, there are people out there that would contact some bully, troll, hurtful teacher from their past to get the last laugh sort'uv speak. Those that do stuff like that (e.g. send a teacher a picture of yourself holding the nobel prize or an oscar) that speaks more about themselves than those that did the hurting. Reality, they would have heard about it any way. Thus, no need for you to be hurtful too.
Michael Jordan was cut from his basketball team his sophomore year in high school. Was the coach a moron that MJ had to show up years and later and say "See look at me now!". Of course not, MJ was not ready at that time nor as good as he was going to be and was cut for better players which motivated to dig deeper and come back even better. He only had to prove it to himself. @#$% everyone else. Anyone needing to go back and feel like they need to prove to someone in the past they made it should grow up and realize they should be thanking them because it was a challenge to their potential that made them work harder to achieve it. I know in this pussified world we all need participation trophies but if you are presently not at the level you need to be based on your dream then a dose of reality is what most people need to motivate past that hurdle. People who try the hardest to show off they succeeded or their weatlh are just cries for help and they have the most insecurities and always need the pat on the back from others to define their self worth. Psychology 101. If I have $10 million dollars, I have it whether you know it or not or whether I drive a Bentley or Buick. If I made $400,000 last year trading, posting it does not make the money and realer, my bank lets me deposit it whether ET believes in it or not. The best traders/wealthy people I ever met never needed to tell me they were rich, only those who feel they NEED other people to know because it compensates for insecurities show how little they are truly worth. Fuck posting account statements or bank records or "proving" on anonymous message boards, the money is green and real whether others believe it or not and I spend it regardless. So no, there is never any NEED to flaunt or go back to someone who doubted you. If you made it truly then they already know. If you are insecure and less worthy then you will pretend others are jealous.
Actually my high school math teacher told me exactly that. I never saw him or spoke to him after graduation. Let's just say I turned out fine but there really was no need to let him know he was wrong. But I do want you to know you were very helpful to me here at ET and I am thankful. Regards,
