This has been one of my favorite things to do, even in my twenties: http://www.baroque.org/venues/firstunited.shtml To listen to the Mozart Requiem in a church. Almost perfect. Note the recommended restaurants. To go on a date with a woman that would appreciate this, now that would be perfect.
Apparently for many people it is the greatest en-slaver of all: "Millionaire Is Giving Away His Entire Fortune" - every penny of it. http://www.aolnews.com/money/articl...onare-karl-rabeder-is-giving-it-away/19356181
I used to be into cars and dream about this one and that one but had kind of an epiphany recently and really don't give a shit about material things that much anymore. Life really is all about adventure, experiences, love and friendship. People matter, 'things' don't.
Well said and I agree 100%. I think of these things as experiences too. If I am able to drive a gorgeous car on a trip through Spain say, that is an experience. If I am able to afford taking my friends on a ski trip, that is an experience. If I am able to afford a set of $50k electrostatic speakers so I can listen to my music as if I were listing to it live, that is an experience. If I could own a racehorse, it would add a dimension to my love of the horse races, etc., etc, etc. But if you couldn't do these things, your life _could_ be just as rich, but possibly not as diverse.
