What good are we traders for?

i don't trade as a philanthropic activity. i don't know anyone who does. in fact, most income-earning people i know or have ever met don't do society-advacning work either. but, that doesn't mean we can't use proceeds from our work to do things that are for the greater good of society.

trading seems like one of the purest industries to me. i buy and sell things. in fact, i buy and sell human emotion. i trade my time, work, research, thoughts for an opportunity to buy and sell quantifiable emotions. everything is trading, our form is just more direct.

and, if people really were bent on 'globe friendly' trading, only trade in 'globe friendly' stocks. find 'green' stocks or cutting edge pharm stocks or something like that. i think there are even "Green" funds out there. if you need to feel good about what it is you are trading.

    anyway, take care :)

How about making some substantial money first ... than you can give it away like Gate and Buffet!
