Okay, you got me. Technically a bolt action rifle isn't semi'auto. And just how many people own these big game rifles? And being an expert you still don't seem to want to define what an assault weapon actually is. Why is that? An AR 15 is not an assault rifle. A mini 14 is not an assault rifle. I don't give a damn how much they look like one, they are not one. If it can't fire full auto it's not an assault weapon. I know what an assault weapon is. I have used one, an M-16. I have had one used against me, an AK-47. I know what killing in large numbers looks like. Assault weapons aren't the problem because there aren't that many out there in the civilian population, least not in this country
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assault_rifle The Calif desperadoes seem to have been using the Colt AR-15. This could not have been a full automatic version (select fire) because you need a special Federal license to have a fully automatic rifle in the US. I presume it was the semi-automatic version. Still I say: why is anyone running around with a Colt AR-15? There is no legitimate use for such a weapon. Up until recently you could buy that semi-auto Colt AR-15 at Wal-Mart.

I don't necessarily disagree, but hunters do have their preferences, which I why I originally wrote, we won't get an handle on this without stepping on someones rights.
What is your chart? Adjusted numbers? Like the phony numbers you use for global warming? You think 'hey, we did it for global warming, let's do it for guns, too. " Here's the real data.
