Thanks, though I should've known where to find that info. GlaxoKline I understand, but Goldman's investment in Vodaphone surprises me. Obviously they know something we don't.
I just realized that from an investment perspective in terms of price to earnings ratio, that GS is actually "cheaper" than AMTD, ETFC, SCHW & MER. It looks a little tired here at $200, but only comes in at a mutliple of 10. MS, UBS & LEH are not too far behind in the 12ish range.
LOL. It's not that they are better at picking stocks, it's that they are masters at making the market do what Goldman Sachs wants. Without inside info into their I-banking operations, you won't make any real money (possibly any money). It's not that simple.
. Why? Are you niave enough to think that everything they own makes money? Forget about what Goldman is doing, you'll never know anyway and concentrate on doing your own research.
Of course, I am not naiive to think that everything they own makes money. I just wanted to view their choices and compare it with my own analysis. FWIW, I'm also smart enough not to jump to conclusions about other people being naiive.
