What do you think will signal the turnaround

Its been discussed ad infinum about how crappy things are/will continue to be. I don't even want to think about a bottom at this point when there does'nt seem to be any kind of clear direction for the future. Saying all that, what really interest me is what are the potential signals to show the turn around. The most immediate for me would be for China to open its markets and stop manipulating its currency.
