I don't have any windows behind me at all so your comments give me hope, lol. I am looking into the 43" Hisense A6H which is rated as the best budget monitor TV by rtings. Seems like it has everything I would need and is currently only $200 @Costco with a (3) year warranty and easy returns if it doesn't work out. It was actually down to $170 briefly at BJ's but I missed out on that deal. https://www.costco.com/hisense-43"-class---a65h-series---4k-uhd-led-lcd-tv.product.100989130.html
No problem. In windows under "Display Settings", "Display orientation", you can set the display to "Portrait". Of course, you have to figure out how to mount your TV vertically.
Finally set it up this weekend. The conclusion, 43 inch it is not worth it. The screen is too big. In vertical mode it is too tall looking up the pricing details. At some point I shall put it back to horizontal mode, for which my desk space is too small for 1 38 and 1 43 side by side. Don't know.
I have one 42" monitor in portrait format. I use it purely for trading platforms and ladders. I could hardly see the area around the top of the monitor. The rest of my monitors are in 32" portrait format.
