If you are using a broker offering a good demo environment (meaning realistic fills), then there shouldn't be any difference between demo and real trading, except for the psychological aspect (which could have a huge impact for manual traders). IB has a good demo (or paper) trading environment. They always put your order at the end of the queue, meaning it's always the worst case scenario. This is not my opinion but facts from extensive use of demo environment vs real trading.
Demo didn't help on testing trading plans for you? Yeah we should live in LIVE trading. Thanks for sharing DA.
Good morning SML. Thanks for sharing. 4 years were quite long lol.True enough, we should be cautious and considerate on real trading.
Good Morning rb7, I agree with you on this part. I have no issues with trading demo, only the mental part is an issue.
Hello Lexi_L, Yes indeed buddy. 4 years in demo. Perhaps it take other traders short time to get profitable, it has indeed taking me awhile for sure. How long it take you to get consistent profitable? And how long you been consistent profitable?
I'll let you search for the differences between a demo and a live account, a simple search on google will tell you a few stories.
Lol... I'll stick to my experiences. No need for anonymous stories... Keep getting your informations from the Net.
