    OK, if you include a paper trade as a screen demo + i dont.
    Actually I dont even weight or study the best computer charts with importance of real paper charts;
    + i much prefer paper books to ANY ''ebook''.
    And i get my brokerage monthly statements in paper, mark those also.

    SOMEthing else i learned LL ;
    leverage is not a friend/like a trend IS a friend. Unless its a profitable trade?LOL
    I make sure to include some cash stuff like SPYV, even though i only traded it once this year; averages less profit + less loss, than a lot of stuff i trade or invest in.
    {Same principle with SPLV, except not a very good example , since its not % positive YTD; so i haven't done that @ all this year} Cool:caution::caution:

    MY favorite trading test+ you may want to try this,LL ;
    when your or my fills never happened sometimes.
    See if a smaller % gainer like SPYV shows some profit;
    IF so add to start position. IF not dont add to it.
    Sorry SPYV has not beaten benchmark SPY; but when i didnt get filled with SPXL some times = I get nothing LOL.:D:D
    NOT investment advice, but good way to trade sometimes.
    WHEN you make $1.00 or 00.10per share of SPYV you can figure out how to make more. Uptrend = friend.
    Even many big funds do a somewhat start small, compared to final position:caution::caution:
    SPYV has drawn doWn to $8.88, worst case , but it's possible/ not likely.

  9. No! Not at all. It depends on the broker, but most brokers are very relaxed with filling your orders on a demo account, that doesn't happen like that in live trading. Filling at the right price is crucial to your performance.

    Demo accounts should never be used to test your trading abilities, they are meant to offer you a playground to get familiar with how to execute your orders, that is all.
    Never use your performance on a demo account as an indicative of your trading abilities.

    If you really want to know how you are doing, trade the minimal size for six months -at least- on a live account.

  10. Good Morning Lexi_L,

    Took about 4 years to go from demo to real money.

    What I learned was, there is no RESET button in Live real money trading, so I better pay attention trade wisely and know what I am doing and what it is I want for my trading effort day to day or week to week.
