White background is the default on NT. Got used to it and just left it. Tried other variations, but kept coming back to this. Besides, sitting here going on 10 yrs..well I am blind already.
Just something to ponder http://www.csustan.edu/oit/WebServices/SupportResources/PsychOfColor.html http://psychology.about.com/od/sensationandperception/a/colorpsych.htm RN
Being colour blind, blue and red work best for me. I use a light grey background. I think I got the tip here on ET that it is easier on the eyes than white, and it seems to work for me.
Grey as a background is very good, I think I picked up that tip a while back on ET as well ! Black and white candles for me for price and volume. The few extra metrics I have on the charts are in colour though, and do not obfuscate the price action
I use bars, not candles. They are green on a black background. I use green because when I was a U.S. Marine sniper we were taught to stare at our green uniforms to rest our eyes before taking the shot. Seems to work with charts too, as I never get tired even after 12+ hours.
I'm surprised nobody listed my preference... been using it for years... Cyan color, solid and hollow against black background.
