What causes moves like this?

    Is this a large player closing out positions? That bar was a couple hours after market close.

    I usually see this around significant areas... definitely took out some longs. Intentionally?

  3. The cause of a move like that is resting stops.

    Leveraged traderz must use close stops and strong traders prey on them....

    it would be nice to know what security + market you are talking about. and time on the chart. or it's a secret?:)
     
  5. I think it was a stock on the Bangledesh exchange that trades 200 shares a week. That's a yearly chart.

  8. TF is the ticker symbol of the maize future contract on the Bangladeshi exchange. The price move was caused by a villager attempting to manipulate the maize market. The number "213" on the chart indicates the number of contracts exchanged during that particular price bar. Bangladeshi Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating.
