It is best to think before one posts. My remarks refer to Mugabe's motives; not the wisdom nor decency of his struggle. If people put there lives on the line for you, because they believed in you and your cause, no matter how unpopular among a minority, no matter how evil others portrayed you, I suppose you would then turn on them. Well no thank you. If you want to contribute constructive comments or criticism, it's welcome. Otherwise it might be best to remain quiet.

How does this help Zimbabwe's economy? Maybe it would if peeps invested in water-driven turbines to generate renewable energy for the region?

In the interest of accuracy, I attributed noble motives to his wanting to reward his freedom fighters. I did nor mention motives with regard to other goals. As it turns out he rewarded freedom fighters in a way that was damaging to the country, but his motive was noble. Many mistakes in history have been made with good intentions.

Regarding food in Venezuela: years ago the party started distributing the food to the party loyalists. The rest of the people are treated as enemies and the communists are fine with it all.
