What brokers worked during power outage?

    TradeStation Securities platform was unaffected by the power outage.

  3. Mine shows gw1.ibllc.com:4000. Today at least, nslookup tells me those two are just one IP address apart, so I'm not sure what that means.

    It doesn't matter where your ini file points - you will get redirected to the server on which your account is homed.

    I was able to ping IB's gateways throughout the outage, so it looks like at least the internet connections and their gateways were up.

    TerraNova claims to have remained up and able to trade CME (at least).

    Not much value in being able to trade the ECNs - there was virtually no liquidity there to trade with, since most equity brokers were down. At some point, I believe INCA said they wiped their whole book because of the number of orders that were left pending when their originating firms went down (no doubt to keep from hearing all those bust requests :) ) Even Friday, ECN liquidity was almost non-existent by normal standards, as there were still some important places in Manhattan without power.

    Three cheers for TRAC, who appeared to be up the whole time (at least myTrack).
