What bread are you eating these days?

  1. I had a bread machine in the mid-90s. I could never get it exactly right. The smell while baking was incredible, but the end result always fell a bit short. I like the idea of baking my own bread and getting it down pat, but presently I like my bread with all kinds of ingredients, and I am far too lazy to go to all the trouble. Maybe one day...

Wife makes bread at home on a regular basis. She makes a variety, but my favorite is her garlic and cheese bread. It makes a fantastic sandwich bread. On the whole I only have about 2 slices of whatever bread a day, and that is for lunch in a sandwich.

  4. The Carbonaut? Yeah, the name caught my eye even though I love me some carbs:

  6. That, too. And it is tasty, to be sure, although I preferred the Genesis bread.

Its a very interesting bread. Even for a diabetic like me 4 net carbs is pretty low. interesting choice of sugar substitute: Inulin. That explains the low carb nature of it, hence the Keto Certified label.

  9. That's the Canadian version. You'd like the US version even better because it has an even lower carb count.

I guess Canada has a more powerful carb lobby. :)
