What books do you recommend for developing your own forex trading system?What books should i read so that i can back test some trading patterns and build my trading system?

I re-read annually.

 

I might recommend "New Trading Systems & Methods" to get your juices flowing. Most books are useless though.

 

if you get one good idea from a book the book was worthwhile. the dilemma is that most readers, particularly beginners, are unable to recognize a worthwhile idea.

 

Quantitative Technical Analysis by Howard B. Bandy
And his other books.

 

Winner Take All by William Gallacher

Practical Speculation by Niederhoffer

And don't trade Forex at the retail level.
