My breakthrough has been....win, lose, or draw I'm doing something I enjoy, and that's all that really matters in the end. Which would you rather be? The 7 figure trader that has grown so bored with it all he functions like an android?, or the average at best trader that smiles at the winning trades, frowns a bit at the losers, and lives his/her life to the fullest regardless of how the day went?
yeah, limiting losses was the biggest breakthrough for me. Stopping out of positions quickly and immediately really opened up possibilities for gains on the upside.
Thanks for sharing that bit, Captain. Sometimes we can get so consumed in what we're doing or the final goal that we forget much of it is about the journey.
when i finally stopped trying to find a system which was profitable and instead began searching for a system which consistently lost money on a regular basis and barely made any money back.
I stopped looking for books and courses. Start monitoring some great threads here at ET and going into a chatroom where real traders are trading the market realtime.
OK, I'll bite...where do you think any of that really goes on? I've done interviews for Stocks and Commodities over the years with several who "say" they are trading profitably, but would not produce any evidence to support it. Some even were so blatant as to "past post". I'm not challenging, just asking. Don
Where do I look? Which room are you promoting? (If you already posted it up, I'm sorry...)...just let me know. Perhaps they (you) might want some publicity. Don
