Samus, apologies if this is stupid, but my quick take on Fisher transform (thank you very much for posting), never having seen it before, is that you have three variables to optimize to get a good indicator, the period of the sample, the smoothing constant, and the shift. Not to be negative, but my experience is that it is virtually impossible to do that reliably.
Question..do you use the HA with a default set up or in a smoothed mode. I have seen the HA used "smoothed" in an ATS and it was very robust in performance. Anyone else using the Heiken Ashi "smoothed" ?
Let's not forget you can base the signal on (H+L)/2 or the close, open, high, low or (H+L+C)/3 or (O+H+L+C/4) or (O+C)/2 or whatever suits you. I wonder which one would be best?
======================= Like that last one, but that may be best not to put moving averages on poll, popularity or might is not right, all the time. Disagree ,however that MA work; helpful yes, but people do the work. Not a prediction; but whether daytraders know it or not,50 dma,200dma will effect ticks, intraday moves eventually, & helps with positions, as you said,Pat oo.
I sit with my legs crossed and rub my temples. Then I chant yumma, yumma, yumma, yuummmaah.. I do this until I get a good read. This could take days.
