Darvas is a lot of fun. Proves one can dance through life in remote places and still make bank.

  10. The most interesting part of this book was the early discussion of market surveillance, detecting terrorist threats and insider trading. Think about what happen if you applied an analysis program like he discusses to something like the Bitcoin network.

I find the stuff about a BRICS currency to be covered in a naive manner. I find people in the US from a rather liberal educational system tend to be trained to think the US is responsible for everyone else's problems and if we just got out of the way they'd all sing and hold hands and get along just fine. He doesn't really discuss the ongoing border disputes, the previous invasions of each others territory, etc.
Telling a decent story about how a group of countries, including paranoid dictatorships, are all going to get together and trust each other needs a bit more serious thinking than he put together. I think it would be possible to tell an interesting story on that front, but you need a serious proposal on how everyone is going to be able to trust and verify each other's actions.

    My $0.02
