Besides being an economist, did you know John Maynard Keynes also had the talent and ability to make vast sums of money in the stock market?
    (From Goodreads)

At the time of his death, Keynes' net worth—almost entirely built through successful stock investments—amounted to the present-day equivalent of more than $30 million. Additionally, the college endowment fund he managed had massively outperformed the broader market over a two-decade period. Keynes was a member of that rare breed—an economist who flourished not only in the rarefied heights of ivory tower academia, but also amidst the hustle and volatility of the financial markets.

  3. Keynes used to be a ForEx trader too IIRC... one of the few who did manage to make lots of $ doing that, and then he almost lost it all.

  5. Sunday evening here. I am debating on selling my labour to work tomorrow or not, as I've got some bad sniffles here. In the meantime, here's most of what I read for this week:

    Introducing Marx
    A Graphic Guide
    By Rius
Liked this one a lot too! Lots of philosophy mixed with capitalism ideals, etc.

    Marxism
    A Graphic Guide
By Rupert Woodfin & Oscar Zarate
Another great read with plenty of philosophy mixed in.

    PRINCIPLES
    By Ray Dalio
Sadly, this one was a bit of a bore, and very depressing. Dalio talking a lot about preparing for death and how insignificant we are in the world... and you can't take with you what you made when you are gone... etc. Haw!

    Philosophy
    For Beginners
    By Usborne
For an intro book, I really can't complain. Covers broad range of topics...From how to argue, to metaphysics.

Also, I'm mostly done this book I'll finish maybe tomorrow:

I still think Jim Rogers is one of the most astute investors of our time. You can never learn too much from that old sage. On the other hand, I've read Boik's books before. The title of his recent book is too salacious to pass over. :D
