What are the Dem Commies saying about the situation in Cuba?

  1. Prove to me Cuba is a greater threat than China......you can't because it is made up bullshit.

Blockades and ignoring the people is not how you go about regime change. the old guard is dying off... the new generation does not give a shit about some revolution, they just want to eat and raise their family.

U.S. shoudl hold meetings with the government and set conditions but look at how China changed once we engaged them. They still have a long way to go but they are a far cry from Mao's cultural revolution of the 1960s.

  2. Dems hate American-Americans who are pro-America, also.

Sadly, we have to face the fact that Dems hate the America the Revolutionaries won for us and our genius Founders tried to preserve for us.

I have not visited Cuba, that is true but I do know 2 people who fled Cuba in the 1970s, both parents of personal friends.

Cuba is not a threat because we make it that way. It’s hard to be a threat when don’t have any money. Yes, in the beginning we did some things wrong and so did the Cuban government and we are here now. Our government has changed multiple times over the decades, theirs has not.

We can go around and around on this but it’s just not a good idea to fully open trade with Cuba, IMO. I understand you have a different opinion and I respect it but I don’t see the benefit to Americans right now. I’m sorry.

The means by which Cuba is an existential threat is their tendency to invite our major nuclear adversaries to install ballistic weapons 90 miles from the continental United States.

Seriously, if China places a single ballistic weapon on Cuba we are going to invade them whether its a Democrat or Republican calling the shots. Cuba will never be a state but they will get an off-the-rack US-friendly regime installed if a single missile launcher appears anywhere on that island.

  5. So what happened in the 1960s still makes Cuba a threat to you but China having warships around Taiwan is meaningless.

let's just say the positions here on Cuba are pretty hypocritical when you see what both parties approach to china has been since the 1970s. No one is trying to put a nuclear missle in Cuba.....let's get out of the 1960s already.

We can go on and I don't need to change your opinion which your entitled to but it just amazes me this position U.S. takes on Cuba while we are ok with other countries.

  6. Those people fled a long time ago when Castro's regime was at its height.

But you said it clearly in your last sentence...you don't see any benefit to America so why do it. So let's just close down the USAID and other departments that help people in other countries because there really is no benefit to America at all, it benefits other people.

My issue is your opinion is not fleshed out or based on a threat from the 1960s while ignoring what the U.S. did with Vietnam, Russia, China and others.

Thank you but I think you keep going past my point of Cuba’s proximity to the US creates a different circumstance. That’s my opinion and quite frankly the opinion of our best diplomats and military personnel.

As has already been mentioned, we have had people attacked with microwave weapons in Cuba. Probably the Russians but that shows you Russia will use Cuba to get deeper into the US.

We don’t agree and I understand that many Americans are moving to your side of things but I’m not there.

China is a problem and I don't have a glib answer about Taiwan.

But there are some boundary conditions and Cuba is one of them. Cuba is a repressive communist regime that has killed countless Cubans and caused misery and poverty since it took power. We tolerate it until they mess with other Caribbean countries, like Grenada, then we take car of business that is in our own backyard.

Here is an opportunity to knock the regime out but Biden is going to support the communists because he is essentially one of them..
