I am a new member to elite trader but I have been studying the markets for almost two years now. I am curious about pros and cons of trading for a proprietary firm, and what is required. I have been told from a recent post that you need a to pass a series 55 test, is this applicable?

    :p

  4. Then why the need to clarify? Are you assuming people are not going to believe you.
Let me be the first to say.......
DO a search and find the threads that have exhausted this subject to death.
Find the props that have offices in your hometown and visit them. Find out what the atmosphere is like and talk to the traders in the room.
    Make the judgement for yourself.
There are pros and cons for every firm.
