Sorry if I keep posting here.... I don't want to become apain the backside. I asked about day trading recently and some people came back and said individual stocks were not the best vehicles for day trading. Do you m ind if I aks you I.Y.H.O. what marekts are best for day trading? I guess you simply need a good method to apply to any liquid and volatile market? It'll be interesting to see what you guys think are the best marekts. Thank you
I would be careful about the Hang Seng as slippage can be a killer if you want a good market with loads of vol go with Cl or I used to like the Dax as it tends to respect levels better Just my 2 cents
If you're looking for volatility crude oil is the best like usman88 mentioned but it is a bitch of a contract to trade. If you've never traded it before I'd strongly recommend trading it on a demo first. You can make a lot of coin on that beast as the leverage is quite high. You may want to consider beginning with the NQ or YM. The leverage on these instruments is lower so they are pretty good contracts to start with but the point movements can be higher, which can be both a good and bad thing. My primary contract is the ES but I trade the others mentioned. And, if you really want movement hop on over to the Forex markets. Now some of those bad boys have some gidde up in 'em. Good Luck!
You can get a demo account from most fut's brokers. I use global futures so you may want to try that. They will give you a 30 day trial but it comes with a sales pitch, which isn't such a bad thing if you're happy with their service.
any of the treasury futures you can do all the size you want they are less volatile trade well both off the orderbook and a chart
