You're right, the free version is limited, but I still use it to come up with plenty of possibilities using different critera. Another one I know of is incrediblecharts.com - you need to download the software but the scanner is getting pretty good. It is free.
Google finance also has a decent screener. I agree about finviz, it is a very good site. Nasdaq.com also has a good screener http://www.nasdaq.com/reference/StockScreener.stm
Can you recommend a stock screener site that will screen for : 1) Look for stocks with P/E twice the prevailing AAA Corporate Bond interest yield (but no less than 10). 2) Look for stocks making a low around 50% of their two year high. 3) Price at two-thirds of book value.
