Showed up here as well on the stable version. I was able to remove it, but I won't know whether it's gone for good until I restart TWS.
On second view, what you're saying is so obvious, and yes, it is just *whacked* that such a useful, AND EASY TO CALCULATE number can't be obtained on the Trader Dashboard OR on the Account window, ferchrisake. I even, *faintly*, recall such a beast...... under the name Change From Prior Day's _________ And now, nothing like that appears in the choices of available fields. (Although, both sides of the simple arithematic do....) And the only place it appears?? As you said: right there in one squeaky little, nearly accidental "totals" line on the Portfolio tab. HEY IB -- THIS WOULD BE *LOW*HANGING*FRUIT* okay?? Jus' sayin'.
IBAdaptive is pretty solid for what it does. I really just use IB to route and submit orders, although would be happy to replace with a better OEMS like RediPlus (may consider after they integrate with Eikon). Java is too clunky to work with, and for investment ideas I like to extract data and model in excel; IB TWS isn't really cut out for deep analysis.
Although I am not a big fan of the TWS platform in general I like their scale trader and chart trading with brackets. I use TWS primarily for routing orders & for a backup.
