Intraday fast-pace trends in stock index futures. They are low hanging fruit that can be picked using small timeframe bars; e.g., 3m, 5m. Very basic.

To expand a bit, pace is a volume measure. I use five levels: fast, medium, slow, DU (dry up) and EXTREME. The numerical values for the levels have changed over the years and I adjust them for seasonality as well. I am suggesting the fast pace to be traded for anyone looking for a basic strategy. It is the "low hanging fruit," if you will, as it involves little risk and requires few skills to trade. For a person looking for a basic strategy, they are best traded using an entry/exit modus. Calibration may be done using a bounded oscillator such as a stochastic. People familiar with what I am referring to know we used 14,1,3 as the settings. Log the volume for when the oscillator dwells outside the 80/20 boundaries. This will be the level for fast pace. Fast-pace trends occur AM and PM, not midday. Trading them with the minimum number of contracts will make the income from any job superfluous. The discipline part is to go for only the low hanging fruit and stay sidelined when there is none until the mind gets built to go for more. I hope this post was responsive to your question.
