While you may occasionally become uncivil; I found it odd that one of the most unprovoked, uncivilized characters on this site, recently, speaks about people being uncivilized, ... hilarious! You cosigned on that bs; which is why I responded to your post. Before I vouch for the character of another, I either know, or have research the actual character of another over time. One's character can't be determined from one discussion/exchange. But that's just me. No big deal. Just waxing philosophical. Stepping off soap box. Good luck in the markets.
Civility is earned. I hope this answers your concerns. I respect those who make their case, intelligently. Idiots, snake oil salesmen, and falsifiers of the truth and facts don't deserve civility, they deserve exposure. To get a taste of your contributions others just need to read your most recent posts, pick any in fact. Daft language but an honest character beats someone, who loves to point fingers and talks crap, any time of day. By the way you are trolling me. Did not like my points on bitcoin in another thread and here you are...
True. If someone is uncivil to you, it's hard to be civil back. Sometimes, being too civil to a bully will encourage even more bullying.
My point was that he has a history of being uncivil to those that that have initially said nothing to him. IOW, he is the bully you speak of, you just haven't done the research to realize that. I know because I have followed threads wherein he's commented. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm just giving a PSA. Take it or leave it. I personally have no problem properly dealing with clowns. A wise old man once told me, "if you like it, I love it."
Yes or No. Do you want me to post many of your past comments to members, who were NOT uncivil to you?
I said civility is earned. When someone talks shit then I rather expose it. If the language is too rough for you then you can feel free to put me on ignore. Stupidity should never go unchecked. Provoked or unprovoked does not matter.
I get it. Your concern is only your thread. Let me help you: The quant funds failed because those that ACTUALLY developed an edge via quant aren't willing to share. IOW, the so-called quants, essentially, bs'ed the backers, who then bs'ed consumer investors. (Note for the record, that I have been civil.)
